Moving Forward (Part 2) – Establish YOUR Order
Today I walked to work. Not something I haven’t done before. Not something many others have never done.Bog standard commute. Even with the gradient of “Brickmakers Kloof” in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. My cycling friends say it’s 7% – 9%.
However, this comes as a complete torpedo to MY pre-established “perfect conditions“. My entitlements. I once walked to work for two weeks because I was too embarrassed to admit that I had overspent.
Lifts were available but I had chosen my own desire to remain personally entitled to the consequences of my earlier decisions.
See, my decisions, although costly and ” chaotic”, had presented many a “Opportunity” to redefine my “Order”.
After those two weeks I had vowed to NEVER walk to work again…….Until today.
I don’t have any answers or truisms. Except a request that you watch this short video. Dr Jordan B Peterson says it better than I ever could.
